About a dream

Rêve Pâtisserie is a dream brought to life—where French tradition meets California elegance in every macaron.

I’m Julie Hutton, founder and baker behind Rêve. Born and raised in Bordeaux, France, I grew up in kitchens filled with the scent of sugar, butter, and joy. Baking was never just a weekend hobby—it was woven into my childhood, from after-school cakes with my mom to meringues baked for my girl-scout troop. In our home, dessert was always part of the celebration. Sometimes even breakfast.

Years later, while living in Columbia, Missouri during my husband’s medical residency, I launched my first pastry business—Frenchy Treats. I baked out of a deep longing for the flavors of home, and my husband’s colleagues quickly became my first loyal customers. Their enthusiasm gave me the confidence to keep going, even after we moved and I had to pause that early chapter.

When life brought us back to Santa Barbara—the place where my husband and I first met—I knew it was time to build something lasting. Rêve, meaning “dream” in French, is exactly that: the dream of sharing elegant, artisanal French pastries with people who crave beauty, quality, and a little indulgence.

Today, Rêve Pâtisserie offers seasonal macaron boxes shipped nationwide, along with custom creations for weddings and events. Every macaron is handcrafted in small batches, made with care, and designed to be as beautiful as it is delicious.

I believe that desserts should do more than satisfy—they should transport you. Whether you’re sending a gift box across the country or designing bespoke macarons for your celebration, I’m honored to be part of your most meaningful moments.

Bienvenue, and thank you for making my dream part of yours.
